The Historic Nelson Horse Ranch is minutes from Natomas and the Sacramento Airport, just off the Interstate 5 freeway in California. Horses have pastures, horse stables include large runs and deluxe stalls. Arenas are groomed and footing stays nice all winter long. We have won numerous awards and been recognized for the quality of care and level of services we offer. We are a high end facility with plenty of amenities and luxuries for riders to enjoy. We are 10 miles from the City of Davis and 2 miles from the City of Woodland in Yolo County.. Our horse trainers are wonderful. | Custom Horse Barns & Horse Stables The Historic Nelson Ranch in in Yolo County, California. It is one of the original homsteads in the Sacramento area and the hors ranch is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The original barn is restored and the design is from barns built in Sacramento California Valley from the 1800's. Horse boarding stable features a gabled roof, antique stained glass imported from England and brick isle ways. Horse stalls are 12 x 12 or 13 x 13 with or without runs and include 1.5" rubber mats. Horse stalls have automatic waterers. Horse facility features include original old historic brick, from the HIstoric site, aisleways, providing traction and can be wet down during hot summer days to cool horse barns. Horse boarding barns were positioned to catch the Sacramento delta breeze at night. There is a fly spray system and fans are available in the summer and stall lights in the horse stalls to keep horses coats down are available during California's winter months. |
